New Added Gemini 3.1 Flash Image (Nano Banana 2) to the Studio image model picker — a newer Gemini flash image model that is faster and cheaper than Gemini 3 Pro Image, sitting between the two existing options.
New Added the Veo 3.1 Lite (Preview) video model — the lowest-cost Veo 3.1 tier with native audio — to the video model picker.
Fixed New installs now default to a current, supported video model (Veo 3 Fast) instead of an outdated default that didn't match any option in the dropdown.
Fixed Admin pages now display correctly on right-to-left languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu) — the navigation sidebar no longer hides behind the WordPress admin menu.
New A Test key button next to each provider on the Settings tab checks that your Google, OpenAI, or xAI key actually works for video right away, so a wrong or unauthorized key is caught on the settings page instead of failing later during a slow video generation.
Improved OpenAI is retiring the Sora 2 video models on September 24, 2026. The Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro options are now marked as retiring so you can plan ahead, they keep working normally until that date, and after it any site still set to Sora is automatically switched to a current working video model so video generation never breaks. You will see a notice if your site was switched.
Improved The Video Generation admin screens now share the same navigation, cards, and buttons as the rest of the MxChat dashboard, so the video tools look and feel consistent with the main settings on both desktop and mobile. Improvements to the shared MxChat admin design now carry over here automatically.
